An Early Requiem for the New Year


The new year gives one a new perspective on everything. It seems as though one has turned on a new page. As if we could just forget about the bad things of the past year and charter a new course for the new year. As though there is a clear line where this part of your life ends and this part starts. As though the year is not a continuum of the previous one. Life is a continuous process. We live and continue to do so until we pass on to the after life. We are the ones who choose our destiny. We make our past, present and future. There is no end until we reach the ultimate end. It is the choices we make that will define who we are and how we chose to live. A new year will become old. We grow older. Live for the future, live in the present, learn from the past.
